I hold a Masters degree in social work from the University of New England and have been practicing in the field for 19 years. My professional experience includes multiple mental health venues: mediation, residential treatment, school based counseling and private practice; Within the school-based model, my focus is on assisting students, parents, teachers and administrators to resolve educational and mental health barriers. This approach has increased family participation, academic goal setting and student success.
In recent years my practice has focused on divorce, co-parenting and blended-family success while continuing to provide care for children, adults and families with various mental health diagnosis including eating disorders, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, grief and loss, family conflicts and women's issues. My treatment models encompass: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Solution Focused and Mindfulness Training. With these approaches, counseling can achieve insight, a better quality of life and self-awareness.
I accept most major insurance plans. I also accept cash, credit/debit, or personal check as payment.
